Meet Our Team

Recruiters in the energy staffing and recruitment industry typically do not come from within the industry. They generally come from a sales, HR, or personnel background. However, the partners of Albert Energy are the exceptions to the rule.

Albert Energy is managed by two partners, the husband and wife team of Steve Copeland and Pam Howard Copeland. Both have extensive experience in the staffing industry. And both have established and maintained excellent reputations in the energy industry.

Steve Copeland
Steve Copeland

Steve Copeland has worked in the energy sector since 1974 and energy recruiting since 2002.

During his extensive career, Steve Copeland has been involved in the planning, design, construction, business development, commissioning, and operation of power plants. He has worked for OEMs, engineering firms, and power utilities providing detailed design, project management and project development services. His generation projects include coal, natural gas, hydro-electric, cogeneration, fuel-cell and wood-fired plants.

Steve managed the design, construction, commissioning and operation of power plants, substations and transmission lines. At one point in his career, Steve served three years as the on-site Area Manager for construction of a $1.1 billion power plant.

While working for a utility as an Electric System Planner, he was also responsible for the annual generation plan and long-term expansion plan for a 4500 MW electric system.

Steve holds a BSME degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA concentrated in Finance from the Georgia State University.

He is a Professional Engineer (PE) registered in the state of Georgia and has served in several state and local officer roles as a member of the Georgia Society of Professional Engineers (GSPE) . He is currently a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).

Steve hails from a military family. His father, Robert Copeland, retired as a Chief Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force. Steve’s son served our country in the U.S. invasion of Fallujah, Iraq as a United States Marine.

Pam Howard Copeland
Pam Copeland

Pam Howard Copeland has managed activities in the technical staffing industry, including IT, energy and engineering, since 1991.

Pam Howard Copeland has a rare and unique perspective on the technical staffing industry: she has worked in multiple roles on both sides of the hiring table and has experienced the challenges that come with each. She has worked in large and medium-sized staffing firms in the positions of both Sales Professional and Recruiter.

Early in her career, Pam was the recruiting manager for a successful staffing firm where she managed a team of ten recruiters. In a separate role, as Recruiting Manager for an IT consulting firm, Pam experienced the challenges a hiring manager faces when utilizing the services of staffing companies and external recruiters to help build a company’s employee base. While working at a large energy recruitment firm, Pam gained sales and recruitment experience directly related to technical executive placement services in the energy industry.

All of these experiences are uniquely combined in a person who understands your challenges and anticipates your needs.
