Turbine Start-up Engineer - Mechanical - Electrical
A well-established turbine services company is currently seeking Steam Turbine Start-up Engineer for Tampa, Florida.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical (BSME) or Electrical Engineering (BSEE) and a minimum of 8+ years experience working for an OEM, utility, or turbine services company planned and forced maintenance outages on large steam-driven turbine generators. Must have previous experience with turbine overhauls and unit start up/commissioning and controls troubleshooting. OEM/GE experience/training, job management and Bently-Nevada ADRE 208 experience is preferred.
Responsibilities will include installing, commissioning, and servicing large turbines manufactured by General Electric, Siemens Westinghouse, Alstom, ABB, Mitsubishi, Toshiba, and Hitachi, among others. This position requires expert knowledge of turbine installation and start-up. EHC and MHC controls experience is a must. Mechanical Engineering degree is highly desired. Strong interpersonal skills are imperative. This is a field service position that requires significant overtime and extensive travel. Engineers will perform shop work at the Florida headquarters during non-outage periods.
